Graduate Certificate in Simulation Education

We proudly offer a graduate level Certificate in Simulation Education with academic credit earned, one of only two programs available in the United States.  This certificate program is taught by leaders in simulation teaching and learning.

 

This certificate program (3 courses, 9 credit hours) offers:

    >Online educational strategies

    >Program outcomes that contribute to the body of knowledge for patient simulation

    >A 10-week format that avoids the busiest times in academic schedules

   >Courses appropriate for academic and staff educators

     >Active Learning Theory and Teaching Strategies

     >Using Simulation to Facilitate Learning

     >Practical Application of Simulation Concepts

Admission Requirements:

Application for Admission

    >Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution in a healthcare or education related field

    >Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for baccalaureate coursework

    >Two years of clinical experience preferred

    >Teaching experience preferred

    >One personal reference

    >One professional reference

    >Interview for qualified applicants on an invitation basis

    >$75 non-refundable application fee

    >TOEFL may be required for applicants for whom English is a learned language

 

Tuition for the certificate program is $518 per credit hour.

Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Nutrition Practice

We proudly offer a graduate level Certificate in Biomedical Nutrition Practice with academic credit earned, with a limited number of programs available in the United States.  This certificate program is taught by leaders in biomedical nutrition practice.

 

This hybrid certificate program (3 courses, 9 credit hours) offers:

    >Intensive practicum experience

    >A 10-week format

    >Face-to-face instruction with the hands-on practice provided two weekends per course

 

Courses:

 

     >Nutritional/Nutrituristic status Assessment and Nutritional Care Process

     >Biomedical Nutriokinetics and Nutriodynamics

     >Biomedical Nutrition Physical Examination

     >Course Descriptions

 

 

Admission Requirements:

Application for Admission

    >Baccalaureate degree in Dietetics or Food Nutrition with post baccalaureate internship resulting in registration by the American Dietetic Association as a registered dietitian

    >Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for baccalaureate coursework

    >Two years of clinical experience preferred

    >One personal reference

    >One professional reference

    >Interview for qualified applicants on an invitation basis

    >Immunization records

    >$75 non-refundable application fee

    >TOEFL may be required for applicants for whom English is a learned language
