BryanLGH College of Health Sciences is excited to announce the creation of Graduate Certificate Programs!

 

     >Simulation Education (Spring 2010) 

 

Graduate Certificate in Simulation Education

We proudly offer a graduate level Certificate in Simulation Education with academic credit earned, only one of two programs available in the United States.  This certificate program is taught by leaders in simulation teaching and learning.

 

This hybrid certificate program (3 courses, 9 credit hours) offers:

    >Online educational strategies

    >Intensive practicum experience

    >A 10-week format that avoids the busiest times in academic schedules

    >Face-to-face instruction with the hands-on practice provided two weekends per course

     >Using Simulation to Facilitate Learning

     >Practicum in Simulation Education

Admission Requirements:

Application for Admission

    >Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution in a healthcare related field

    >Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for baccalaureate coursework

    >Two years of clinical experience preferred

    >Teaching experience preferred

    >One personal reference

    >One professional reference

    >Interview for qualified applicants on an invitation basis

    >Immunization records

    >$75 non-refundable application fee

    >TOEFL may be required for applicants for whom English is a learned language

 

Tuition for the certificate program is $480 per credit hour.
