The faculty of the BryanLGH Medical Center School of Nurse Anesthesia are outstanding professionals well-known in their field. They hold advanced degrees and they have a wealth of experience in the classroom and in clinical settings.
Most importantly, our faculty are best known for their close collaboration with students enrolled in the Master of Anesthesia program. Students enjoy individualized attention from scholars and professionals who are passionate about their work—and instill that same excitement in each Master of Nurse Anesthesia student. Each entering class in the program is restricted to sixteen (16) students, allowing faculty to provide each student with advanced scientific knowledge and a comprehensive array of clinical skills that are at the heart of anesthesia practice.
James Cuddeford, MA, CRNA, is Dean and Program Administrator of the Master’s program in Nurse Anesthesia at BryanLGH Medical Center. He has published numerous articles with the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and has chaired committees for that organization as well. The Dean has served on the Board of Directors of both the Nebraska and Missouri Associations of Nurse Anesthetists and was President of the Missouri Association for two terms.
Sharon L. Hadenfeldt, PhD, CRNA, is Associate Dean and Associate Program Administrator for the Master’s program in Nurse Anesthesia at BryanLGH College of Health Sciences. Dr. Hadenfeldt received her BSN from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and is a 1991 graduate of the University of Kansas/Bryan Memorial School of Nurse Anesthesia. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Nebraska in 2006. Her research interests include Nebraska CRNA manpower and the history of Nurse Anesthesia education. Dr. Hadenfeldt has served as the Assistant Program Administrator since 1994, is an Associate Professor in the College, and continues to enjoy clinical teaching in the Nurse Anesthesia Program.
