What does “Student Life” mean?
Student Life refers to all services provided by the College to students as well as all activities and organizations sponsored by students.


Whom do I contact if I want to learn more about student organizations and activities?
Contact the Coordinator of Student Services at (402) 481-8692, or visit with your Student Government Association (SGA) representatives.

 

What academic services are available at the College?
The College offers academic services through Academic Counseling, an arm of the Student Success Center.  The Academic Counseling service helps students with specific assignments, study habits, time management and overall commitment to their academic program.

 

I am an alumna/alumnus of the College. How do I get more involved in current activities?
Visit the Alumni Events page of the Web site, look on the Events Calendar, or contact Student Life at (402) 481-8692.

 

How do I request a transcript?
A request must be submitted in writing to the Office of the Registrar. The request needs to contain the following information: the student's name, dates of attendance, mailing address where the transcript is to be sent, phone number where we can reach you with questions, social security number and your signature. (E-mail requests will not be valid.) There is a fee of five dollars. All requests should allow 48 hours upon receipt by the college for processing.

 

Whom do I talk to about courses that will transfer from other institutions?
The Academic Advisor is responsible for assisting students with all transfer course work.

 

How do I change my address?
Students may log into the student information system to change their address.

 

How do I apply for financial aid?
The first step to apply for federal financial aid is to go to www.pin.ed.gov and apply for a pin number.


Step two is to go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). You will need to identify BryanLGH College of Health Sciences as one of the schools you want to receive your processed FAFSA.

Do I need to fill out a FAFSA every year?
You need to fill out the FAFSA every year after January 1 for the upcoming school year.

How will I know how much aid I am eligible for?
Once the Financial Aid Office receives your processed FAFSA, and if you are registered for at least six semester credit hours, you will receive a Financial Aid Award Letter. This Award Letter will tell you what kind of aid you are eligible for and a dollar amount. Instructions included with the Award Letter will tell you how to apply for student loans.

 

Is there a deadline to apply for Financial Aid?
Your FAFSA must be received in the Financial Aid Office by May 1 for the fall term and October 1 for the spring term.
